Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu meet our staff and transfer to hotel.
On arrival in Kathmandu airport our guide will receive and transfer you to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu area at Thamel the main tourist centre and provide you with necessary information regarding your trek and stay in Nepal with Guide Nepal Trek.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,830 m & trek to Phakding 2,640 m - 04 hrs.
Mornings, taking a scenic flight to Lukla with overwhelming views of parallel mountain range, after 30 mins of great flight arriving at Lukla, with short break carry on trekking towards Phakding village for overnight stop passing through many farm village and farm lands a moderate walk with few short ups overlooking beautiful scenery along the route to Phakding located by the glacier fed Dudh Kosi river.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 05 hrs.
After a nice morning with the sound of the river, walk continues with a gradual pace most of the way crossing few long suspension bridges over Dudh Kosi River passing several interesting villages of Toc-Toc, Bhenkar and Monjo arriving at Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate after checking the park permit, morning walk ends at Jorsalle village for lunch, from here walking on the river bed for few hours and after the last bridge a steep uphill haul for few hours to Namche Bazaar overlooking first view of Mt. Everest and other surrounding snow capped peaks, finally reaching at the famed Namche Bazaar, where there are facilities like good restaurant, pubs, cyber café, post office, money change and banks. This place is flooded with locals and trekkers on Saturday market.
Day 04: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
A perfect an ideal spot for rest and free day, a necessary stop here for proper acclimatization before heading higher area, at Namche one can relax or take a short hike to Everest View Hotel which takes almost 2 hours or walk up to the top of Namche for better views of Everest, Ama Dablam and other peaks and landscapes with a visit of interesting museum near the Sagarmatha National Park Headquarter.
Day 05: Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05hrs.
From Namche morning walk leads up for 30 mins to the ridge with aerial view of Namche Bazaar and overlooking beautiful towering peaks, walk is easier on the gradual winding scenic path, then heading downhill to Imjatse river at Phunge-Tenga for lunch, after a break here walking uphill through quaint woodlands of rhododendron, pines, firs trees with marvelous mountain views the climb after few hours reaches at a beautiful spot of Thyangboche with its famous Buddhist monastery with magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamasarku, Kwande and majestic peak of Ama Dablam.
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m - 05hrs.
Morning catching the panorama views, walk leads downhill for few hours to the bridge over Imjatse River, after the bridge walking on open country where the tree lines disappears only for few sparse vegetation and juniper bushes, walking on the gentle uphill for a while to reach at Pangboche village at 3,900 meters, the last permanent village before Dingboche and beyond, from here a slow climb to Somara for lunch and continue walk on the nice terrain with last climb to Dingboche village for overnight stop, located in the Imjatse valley with picturesque panorama of snow capped mountains including the North Face of Ama Dablam.
Day 07: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion.
We have allowed another rest day here at this high altitude for proper acclimatization, one take a short hike up the hills for better views which includes Mt. Makalu and Cho Oyu peaks in the far distance.
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m - 05 hrs.
After a great rest at Dingboche morning walk begins with a steep climb for an hour commanding excellent views, and then on the gentle track with slow up most of the way to Thugla for lunch where the Khumbu glacier ends in a raging river and the route from Pheriche meets, after a fine break here a steep up for an hour to Thulga pass where there are memorials of climbers died in mountaineering expeditions to Mt. Everest, Lhotse and other high mountains. From here a nice pleasant walk brings to Lobuche for overnight stop.
Day 09: Trek to Gorak Shep 5,170 m and Everest Base Camp 5,364 m and return to Gorakshep - 06 hrs.
Today towards our final destination and highlight of this marvelous journey to Everest Base Camp, walk leads on the gentle up trail for few hours then with short steep climb in between to Gorakshep walking on glacier and moraine, on reaching Gorakshep where there are 3-4 lodges beneath the towering Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar our walk continues towards east for few hours to Everest Base Camp here overlooking the Khumbu glacier and the notorious Kuhmbu Ice Fall, after being on the highest mountain base retrace the journey back to Goarkshep for overnight halt.
Day 10: Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m trek to Pheriche 4,240m - 05 hrs.
Starting early morning for a hike to the top of Kalapathar at 5,545 meters the highest point of this adventure, walk leads up for few hours offering tremendous views of surrounding snow capped mountains as far to the horizon including Mt. Everest at close distance and beneath the towering lofty peak of Pumori.
After a great moment return back to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue walk to Thugla, from here on the new route towards Pheriche valley descend on the flat valley, this area can be windy in the afternoon after a nice pleasant walk reaching at Pheriche for overnight stop.
Day 11: Trek to Thyangboche - 05 hrs.
Return journey is much easier losing altitude every few hours, walking downhill with few short ups to Pangboche and then to the bridge before a steep 2 hours climb back to Thyangboche entering into woodlands reaching at Thyangboche for overnight stop.
Day 12: Trek to Monjo 2,860m - 06 hrs.
After a great time in the high mountains and valley, walk descend to Imjatse river then with a steep climb for an hour to Lobesa, from here on the normal gradual path with short ups and downs to Namche Bazaar, a nice pleasant break here and back to Dudh Kosi river valley and back to Monjo for overnight stop.
Day 13: Trek to Lukla - 04 hrs.
Morning walk on the best pleasant pathmost of the wayreaching at Phakding from here retracing the walk back to Luklawith the last climb for an hour, on reaching Lukla celebration with fellow trekkers and staff.
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
From Lukla taking an early morning scenic flight back to Kathmandu with overwhelming views of mountains from the plane after landing at Kathmandu domestic airport, our staff transfers you back to hotel around Thamel area with rest of the day free at leisure.
Day 15: In Kathmandu free day with sightseeing tour.
We have reserved this extra day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay or cancellation at Lukla due to unfavorable bad weather, if all goes well a free day, one can book for sightseeing tour for the day at places of interest.
Day 16: International departure for home ward bound.
After a memorable and fantastic time with Guide Nepal Trek and in the Nepal high Himalaya, preparation for the final departure to the airport as per your international flight time, our staff will transfer you to the airport from this amazing Himalayan country Nepal.
